Alabama benefit concert in September raises $169,467 for Tuscaloosa Storm Recovery Fund

The city of Tuscaloosa reported on Tuesday that its Storm Recovery Fund received $169,467 from the Sept. 2 benefit concert by the country group, Alabama, at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.

The concert was performed for a sellout crowd of 7,400 people, and it was Alabama’s first full concert as a band in more than seven years, said Gary Weinberger of Red Mountain Entertainment.

“We are beyond grateful for Alabama’s support to their state and our city for making this amazing contribution that will certainly aid in our commitment to moving Tuscaloosa forward,” said Kristen Love, coordinator of the Storm Recovery Fund.
